In association and as a joint venture, the Nepalese American Chamber of Commerce, Dallas, Texas and Punya Foundation USA donated NRS 2, 32,000 to Ek Ka Lagi Ek Aviyan. The contributed fund is earmarked to purchase oxygen cylinders for the Ek Ka Lagi Ek Aviyan’s Oxygen Bank. Mr Sudip Adhikari, President, Punya Foundation USA reported the amount is sufficient to purchase at least 15 oxygen cylinders and the fund has already been wired.

Mr. Mahendra Giri, coordinator of Ek Ka Lagi EK Abhiyan reported that the cylinders will be made available to anyone who needs them, as and when, advised by the health professionals. Mr Giri further added that they have already made over 120 cylinders available through the support they have received from Nepal’s well-wishers. He also reported, the Jhapa district is in need of at least 500 more such cylinders, as per the current projection.

Mr Adhikari thanks the Nepalese American Chamber of Commerce, Dallas, Texas and Ek Ka Lagi EK Abhiyan teams for their voluntary service and for the collaboration with Punya Foundation.
