Punya Foundation, team USA and the Nepalese American Chamber of Commerce Dallas Texas organised a second lot of COVID-19 relief to Nepal.
The collaborators secured a fund equivalent to Nepalese currency 6,91,725.000. As per the fund generators, the amount will help purchase oxygen concentrators when Nepal is observing the third wave of COVID-19 and the majority of cases being the Delta strain of Indian variant. When Nepal is struggling to contain the viral spread, 588,124 cases are reported and 7,898 people have died.
Mr Sudip Adhikari, President, Punya Foundation USA, reported “this is a small-scale joint venture of likeminded philanthropists”. The oxygen concentrators will be handed over to the Mechi Zonal Hospital, Bhadrapur, Jhapa through Punya Foundation, Nepal.
