Amidst challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic, Punya Foundation went creative and managed to give continuity to some of the projects. To keep our volunteers, donors and target population safe, we had to withhold some of our national and international projects. Please click here for the report. The major highlights of year 2020 are,

  • Nepal projects on hold due to COVID-19, African projects business as usual
  • Virtual celebration of 10 years of Punya Foundation’s establishment and brainstorming on Bhutan Smiriti Diwas
  • Team Australia obtained Volunteer Organisation Status from the Federal Government
  • Team Australia established a state team in Queensland; which, is committed to take responsibility of blind and visually impaired girls’ scholarship project in Nepal
  • Australia team conducted a number of projects like blood donation, assistance to bushfire victims, lunch package to frontline health workers, Deusi-Bhailo, including a the successful implementation of $20,000 COVID-19 relief project
  • USA and Canada teams reached out to vulnerable children in Bhutanese refugee camps in Nepal and surrounding community and Canada team organised a virtual Deusi-Bhailo program.
