Punya Foundation is currently registered in 5 different countries – Australia, the USA, Canada, Nepal and Ethiopia. Whilst it holds tax-exempt charity status in Australia (ACNC, ATO – DGR, PBI schedule 4.1.1.) and the USA (501 (c) (3), in rest of the countries, Punya Foundation is registered as a not for profit organisation.
Punya Foundation has an international board of directors which oversees planning, strategy, program evaluation and implementation aspects. Each Country has its own executive team and operate in collaboration with the international board of directors. All country teams join hands to support education and empowerment projects operating in the developing countries. The country teams independently plan and organise programs at the community level, as appropriate and when needed.
