On 18 August 2018, in collaboration with the Rotary Club Elizabeth, South Australia, Punya Foundation organised Australia Clean-Up program. It was attended by volunteers from local community and they made through streets and parks in PlayFord city council.
Objectives of the program:
- to contribute to clean and healthy local area
- to engage migrant community in local activities and generate civic responsibility
- to promote social interaction and cohesion
The program was coordinated by Mr Puskar Poudyal. Mr Poudyal reported that the program went very well and expressed satisfaction. As a follow up to the event, Mr Poudyal, Mr Dom Kafley and Mr Prakash Dhamala attended another program organised by the rotarians. Both parties expressed their thanks for the collaboration.
Mr Glenn Docherty, Mayor Playford City Council and Mr Jim Buckoke, Rotary Club Elizabeth who were present during the event expressed their appreciations to the initiative.
