Mr Kashi Adhikari, Director of Program of Punya Foundation facilitated a video introducing the Foundation. Different guests spoke highly about Punya Foundation’s program supporting children in developing countries.

Former NRNA SA SCC Coordinator, Mr Nabin Panta, called for a minute silence remembering those who lost lives during struggle for human rights in Bhutan.

It was truly a fun program. The participants had an opportunity to seat back and enjoy cultural program and delicious Nepalese culinary. The creative program ran by Mr Sujan Adhikari (multi-dynamic real estate agent), not only promoted antique Nepalese goods but attracted attention of participants and generated sizeable funds. NRNA executives actively approached generous donors collecting more than $7000 on the floor.

Both the NRNA and Punya Foundation are satisfied with the turnover and are happy that the program surpassed the expected fundraise target. The balance sheet of the fund generated is being worked out. The program organisers will make public the amount that will reach to vulnerable students in Nepal deducting the in-put cost. As per Punya Foundation, even after the dinner program, more than a dozen of well-wishers have donated through bank transfer, some of them from inter-state proving generosity of Nepalese for Nepalese.

Mr Tilchand Sapkota, the CEO Punya Foundation and Ms Renuka Lama, chairperson of the program, thanked guests for their attendance, participants for supporting the charitable cause, artists for their great performances, business houses for their financial support, auction bidders for supporting the good cause, restaurant owner for their accommodation, and volunteers for their selfless hard work.
