On the morning of Christmas Eve, Punya Foundation distributed 300 plus blankets amidst temperatures well below freezing in Texas. Like in the past years, Punya Foundation collaborated with local non-profits like HDNP International, Development for Peace, Prosperity Bank, and other warm-hearted donors to give back to the community to brighten their holidays.

The service started around 6:30 am. The volunteers helped load the trailer with blankets and sleeping bags and made their way to the distributing location. The distribution took place in different centres. In addition, the volunteers went around the area and handed out items to those who were not able to transport themselves.

This small act of philanthropy was met with gratitude and appreciations by the recipients. Mr Sudip Adhikari, President of Punya Foundation USA stated, “the blanket drive became possible with the contribution from donors and volunteers. We sincerely thank for your kindness”. Mr Adhikari and family donated $1000 for this yearly event. The program is fourth in a row.
