Punya Foundation is proud to support a scholarship program for seven primary school students from the Dalit community in Surkhet District, Nepal. This initiative aims to ensure that children from poor, vulnerable, and marginalised backgrounds are able to access quality education without financial barriers. The program is being implemented in partnership with the Dalit Welfare Organisation (DWO), a trusted grassroots organisation working for social justice and inclusion.

For many Dalit families in rural Nepal, poverty and social exclusion make it difficult to meet basic educational expenses. Through this scholarship program, selected students receive comprehensive support covering stationery, uniforms, and other essential learning material. By addressing these core needs, the program helps reduce school dropout rates and encourages consistent attendance and academic engagement.

Education is a powerful tool for breaking cycles of discrimination and poverty. By investing in children at the primary level, this initiative supports not only individual learning outcomes but also long-term community empowerment. Punya Foundation remains committed to promoting equity, dignity, and opportunity for all children, regardless of caste or economic status.
