Scholarship distribution program, Sindhupalchok, 2022

On 12 June 2022, Punya Foundation Nepal distributed scholarships to 25 students rendered orphans by the earthquakes of 2015 and poor and vulnerable children. Punya Foundation has been providing scholarships in Sindhupalchok district since 2015.

The scholarship package consisted of school fees, stationaries required for the academic session, 2 pair of shoes, a set of shocks, school uniform and a pair of track suit. When the scholarship recipients and their parents expressed their gratitude and thanks to Punya Foundation team, the Village Development Committee chair applauded Punya Foundation’s ongoing commitment to support education of poor and vulnerable students.

Mr Mohan Niraula, President Punya Foundation Nepal stated, “we will continue with our support. We want students to make best out of the donations made by people around the globe. The donors expect good results. So, your good performance in the school is essential”.

Mr Chhabi Neopaney, Punya Foundation’s longterm significant donor from Ohio USA joined the scholarship distribution session. He said, “I am grateful to be a part of your education journey. I wish you good luck.” Other team members were Punya Foundation Nepal’s board members Mr Bishnu Sapkota and Mr Dinesh Niraula.

The next scholarship distribution will be in Dhading district and in the underprivileged pockets in the outskirts in Kathmandu. Punya Foundation USA, Canada and Australia thanks Punya Foundation Nepal for their dedicated support to help poor and vulnerable children with their education.
