On 21 June 2025, Punya Foundation successfully conducted its annual Blood Donation Program at the Modbury Blood Donation Centre in Adelaide, in collaboration with the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood. The event was coordinated by Mr. Hari Adhikari, Program Director of Punya Foundation, and brought together enthusiastic members of the Bhutanese and wider migrant community.
Blood donation is a vital act that helps save lives every day—from emergency patients and cancer treatments to surgeries and chronic conditions. With this understanding, Punya Foundation continues to lead initiatives that make tangible contributions to society.
This annual program not only reflects the Foundation’s humanitarian mission but also highlights the migrant community’s strong sense of responsibility and gratitude toward their adopted homeland. Many participants, including first-time donors, expressed how meaningful it was to be part of a life-saving cause and to give back to the community that has supported their journey.
By promoting awareness, especially among youth, the Foundation aims to foster a culture of generosity and civic engagement within multicultural communities. On behalf of Punya Foundation, Mr Hari Adhikari extended sincere appreciation to all donors, volunteers, and supporters who made this year’s program another inspiring success. Through small but impactful actions like blood donation, we come together to build a healthier and more compassionate society, Mr Adhikari Added.
