Punya Foundation marked its 16th Establishment Day on 20 June 2026 with a virtual poem recitation program that celebrated both the organization’s enduring commitment to community and culture and the unifying power of creative expression. The event brought together 18 participants, ranging from children to older persons, creating a warm and inclusive platform for voices across generations.
The program was chaired by Mr. Sanman Kafley, Chief Operating Officer of Punya Foundation, while Pundit Devi Charan Dhungyel attended as the chief guest. The gathering highlighted the Foundation’s continued efforts to promote cultural engagement and community connection through meaningful online initiatives.
The virtual recitation created a reflective and inspiring atmosphere, with participants presenting poems that expressed emotion, devotion, identity, and social values. By including people of different ages and backgrounds, the program reinforced the spirit of togetherness that has shaped the Foundation’s journey over the past 16 years.
Moderation was handled by Ms. Pratima Adhikari and Ms. Deoki Dhakal, who guided the event smoothly and ensured an engaging flow throughout the session. The closing summary, reflection, and thanksgiving were delivered by Acharya Santiram Upadhaya Dhakal, Director of Culture and Spirituality, whose remarks added depth and gratitude to the celebration.
Punya Foundation’s 16th Establishment Day program stood as a thoughtful reminder that culture flourishes when communities create space for participation, expression, and shared values.
