Om and Bishnu Gautam

Om and Bishnu were born in Dagana Bhutan. They lived in the refugee camps in Nepal for almost 18 years before moving to USA and Australia.

Bishnu and Om got married in Australia in 2010 and started living in the USA. They have 3 lovely daughters Arya, Anvi and Arati. Despite all the challenges in the refugee camps and in their new country, Om and Bishnu succeeded their educational journey and have established themselves as one of the successful families in the US. Om is a real estate agent (Realtor, Red 1 Realty) and Bishnu works in the health sector.

Recalling their past living in the refugee camps where they spent most of their precious childhood, they understand how important it is for the innocent children to get education and fulfil their very basic needs. In that sense, Gautam family decided to help a child in Nepal to continue her education.

“We were supported by many agencies in the camps and coming to the new world where we had to start from the scratch to build our new home, many kind hearts came forward assisting us in so many ways. Now we are standing on our own feet, and we feel that it is time to give back in whatever small way we can which makes a big difference is someone’s life. Punya Foundation has been doing great job and we all can contribute in whatever way we can to support their initiative.” Punya Foundation sincerely thanks Gautam family for their generosity.
