Punya Foundation is organising a 3-days of Fundraising Multicultural Spiritual Program in Adelaide. The inauguration on 15 July 2023 observed an abundant variety of cultural activities and performances.

The Mayor of the City of Salisbury, Ms Gillian Aldridge was the chief guest. Mr Glenn Docherty, Mayor of the City of Playford, Mr Dipak Dhamala, Ms Renuka Lama, Mr Johnny Chewparsad, Mr Milan Kapasi, Mr Celian Kidegra, Mr Nabin Kambang, Mr Moti Naral, Mr Kapil Pande, Ms Mary Ceravolo, Mr Dinesh Kalikote, Mr Mahesh Gautam, Ms Ashika Rai, Ms Priyanka Rai, Mr Mohan Hangkhim and Mr Hari Sharma Poudyal were guest and special guests.

Mr Steven NewchurchBeginning with the morning puja, Buddhist sermon and lighting of 108 butter lamps occurred and this was then followed by a bhajan. The program then progressed welcoming and seating guests and special guests.

Welcome to the Country was done by Mr Steven Newchurch. Mr Newchurch’s welcome was appreciated by the community. This was followed by World Peace Mantra. Mr Tilchand Sapkota, CEO welcomed the guests and participants. Mayor Aldridge and mayor Docherty expressed their opinion. Mr Dhamala and Ms Lama appreciated the program and committed ongoing support.

Subsequently, Ms Ashika Rai, the contestant of Mero Dance Universe performed a dance, which was followed by Bellisha Neupane’s entertaining dance. Both contestants were provided with token and certificates.

The Afternoon session included a Kiraat bhajan from KCAA. This was followed by a prabachan by Pundit Tirtha Raj Poudyal. Finally, an Aarati brought day 2 of the Multicultural Spiritual Program of 2023 to a close.

The program attracted excellent audience and appreciations from the community. The program is made possible through the support of City of Salisbury. Mr Sanman Kafley, the Director of Administration, thanked the City of Salisbury, guests, sponsors, hardworking volunteers, artists, and performers.
