Sambridhi Adhikari, Kiera Polk and Aubrey Gonzalez are primary school students studying at Bluebonnet Elementary School, Keller Independent School District, in Texas, the USA. While fulfilling their school assignment, they generate funds and dedicate for education of a child through Punya Foundation. Mr Sudip Adhikari, President USA chapter of the Foundation deserves thanks for doubling dollars to promote kids philanthropy.

Punya Foundation is a not for profit charity organisation helping poor and vulnerable children in Asia and Africa. It also provides micro-finance to empower women victims of rape and sexual violence.

Sambridhi was born in Kathmandu in 2008. Her father moved to the U.S. when she was about 3 years. She and her mom joined their father and husband 18 months later. Sambridhi says, “So, I know how it feels to be away from your family.” She further reports, “the main reason I and my 2 friends decided to sponsor a child through Punya Foundation is because we took a moment to think, how lucky are we to be getting such an amazing education, and how so many kids don’t get the same. So, with the money we generated out of our school project, we decided to help someone to go to school.”

Kiera, 10 years old, was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She loves to play soccer. Kiera says, “anyways, my friends and I decided to donate to one lucky 10 year old girl with the money we earned for a school project. During our project we were thinking about how a luxurious education we get. We remembered that other children don’t even get an education. We really hope that what we donate is going to make a change.”

Aubrey, 11 years, was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Aubrey says, “the reason me and my 2 friends, Sambridhi and Kiera, want to sponsor a child through Punya Foundation is because we want to help the helpless. I know for a fact that each of our hearts ache thinking about the terrible conditions people can be in, and so we want to help out, one person at a time.”

Sambridhi, Kiera and Aubrey say, “We ask everyone is to be involved in helping the needy. Whether it be donating a dollar or 100, anything makes a difference.”

Punya Foundation team thanks the Bluebonnet Elementary School, Keller Independent School District, Texas for promoting and incorporating creative activities in academics and inspiring kids with such an initiative. The Foundation thanks Sambridhi, Kiera and Aubrey for their kind gesture and wishes its best with their further education.
