Punya Foundation Executive apprised the City of Playford a need of a community centre. The council team consisting of its Mayor, Senior Manager of Development Services and Manager of Planning Services gave audience to the Foundation’s executives and community delegates.
Dr Lakshmi Prasad Dhakal from Punya Foundation presented the community centre concept paper. He elaborated the need, importance and risks of not having a community centre as well as inconveniences caused to neighbourhoods. A discussion on a tentative sub-division plan of the block of land located at Munno Para Downs took place. He reported awaiting SA-water’s recommendations.
The heads of planning and development advised support and willingness to help the community project. The mayor appreciated the staged approach to the project and its diversity in nature.
The delegates consisted of Mr Tilchand Sapkota, Mr Hari Adhikari, Mr Hari Pokhrel, Mr Hari Poudyal, Mr Khagendra Khatiwada, Pundit Santiram Upadhaya Dhakal, Mr Tek Bhandari, Mr Basudev Khatiwada, Ms Siva Maya Khatiwada, Mr Hari Khatiwada, Ms Pabitra Khanal, Ms Madhavi Dhakal, Mr Puskar Poudyal, Mr Krishna Chawan, Mr Narayan Bhattarai and Mr Dill Dahal.
The community members thanked the Mayor and the council staff for their, advice and willingness to help.
