Faces Signalling the Success, Table Tennis Tournament 2019

Punya Foundation Inc. organised table tennis tournament on 27 July 2019 in Adelaide, South Australia. Matches were played in four categories – under 18 years, women, adults male and adults above 45 years.

More than 40 participants participated during the first such tournament organised by the Foundation. Mr Kashi Adhikari, Director of Programs of the Foundation reported participants displaying sportsmanship and the program ended with enthusiasm. Mr Puskar Poudyal, Community Engagement Officer of the Foundation and Mr Dhan Rai of Adelaide Dragon Sporting Club worked on technical aspects of match fixation. Mr Sanman Kafley, Director of Administration of the Foundation commented that the players volunteered to inter-umpire the matches and everything went smooth.

Dipjan Bhandari stood as winner with Pawan Magar securing the place of runner up among the category under 18 years. When Mrs Devi Subedi, Mr Parsu Chauwan and Mr Chida Chauwan were declared winners of women, above 45 years and adult categories; Mrs Sandra Bacon, Mr Robert Bacon and Mr Kashi Nath Adhikari locked trophies for the runner ups. Mr Sonam Tamang was declared the man of the tournament. Mr Chakman Bista of Jasmine Photography volunteered for the photographs.

Mr Chabi Sapkota, Mr Til Chand Sapkota CEO of the Foundation and Mr Sushil Niroula, Chairman of BAASA sponsored trophies. Lions Club of Angle Vale partly sponsored the tournament. The Foundation executives congratulate the winners and thanks all participants, sponsors, volunteers and organisers.
