Park Cleaning 2025

Punya Foundation organised a park cleaning program on March 29, 2025, as part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and environmental stewardship. The event took place at Pioneer Park in Salisbury, South Australia, reinforcing Foundation’s mission to promote civic responsibility and collective well-being.

The program was coordinated by Pandit Santi Ram Upadhaya Dhakal (Director of Culture and Spirituality), with Mr. Hari Adhikari (Director of Community Engagement), overseeing the assemblance of necessary equipments and PPEs. Around two dozen community members actively participated, demonstrating their dedication to maintaining public spaces and fostering a cleaner, healthier environment.

Park cleaning initiatives like this are vital in preserving natural spaces, reducing pollution, and enhancing the well-being of residents. Clean parks not only provide a safe and inviting space for recreation but also promote biodiversity and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, such community-driven efforts strengthen social bonds, instil a sense of collective responsibility, and inspire others to take proactive roles in maintaining shared spaces.

At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Tilchand Sapkota, Chief Executive Officer of Punya Foundation and Mr Sanman Kafley, Senior Member, expressed their gratitude to all the participants for their hard work and dedication. They emphasised that small, consistent efforts like these contribute significantly to the overall health of the community and the environment, encouraging continued participation in future initiatives.
