Punya Foundation, in collaboration with the Australian Bhutanese Society of Northern Tasmania and Cancer Council Tasmania, recently hosted a community information session on cancer prevention, early detection, and support services.

The session provided valuable information on recognising potential signs of cancer, the importance of regular health checks, and accessing local support services. With the assistance of a Nepali interpreter, community members were able to engage in meaningful discussions and ask questions in their preferred language.

The event highlighted the importance of culturally appropriate health education and the need for accessible resources to help multicultural communities make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
