The recent Breast Cancer Awareness Interaction Program successfully brought together community members for an informative and engaging session focused on women’s health and early detection of breast cancer. The program increased awareness about breast cancer symptoms, risk factors, screening, and the importance of regular health check-ups.

The event was proudly organised by Punya Foundation, facilitated by BreastScreen SA, and delivered in collaboration with the Senior Group. The initiative was supported by the Australian Government through Cancer Australia under the Supporting People with Cancer Grant Program.

Participants received practical information from health professionals on self-examination, screening services, and healthy lifestyle practices. The interactive session encouraged open discussion, helping attendees gain confidence and clarity about breast cancer prevention and early diagnosis. The program highlighted the importance of community education, family support, and regular screening in improving health outcomes. The event demonstrated the positive impact of collaboration and community-driven awareness initiatives in promoting healthier lives. The video demonstrates challenges prevailing in the community, cultural belief system and barriers that migrant communities face.
