
The Punya Foundation recently organised a thanksgiving dinner in Adelaide to acknowledge and appreciate the generous sponsors and dedicated supporters of the Maha Yagya 2025. The event marked a significant moment in the Foundation’s journey toward building a Mandir in Adelaide, providing an opportunity to express gratitude and present plaques of appreciation to those who contributed to this monumental effort.
The dinner was honoured by the special presence of Mayor Glen Docherty from the City of Playford and the Leader of the Opposition, Mr Vincent Tarzia. Both leaders expressed their strong support for the Mandir project and commended the Foundation’s commitment to preserving cultural and spiritual heritage. They thanked the Foundation for the invitation and acknowledged the positive impact such initiatives have on community building in South Australia.
The evening featured a warm welcome by Mr Dilli Dahal, followed by an overview of the Mandir project’s progress presented by Mr Kashi Adhikari, CEO of the Punya Foundation. Mr Hari Poudyal expressed sincere thanks to all those who supported the Maha Yagya and the Foundation’s broader mission. The program was hosted by Mr Puskar Poudyal, whose coordination ensured the evening flowed smoothly and respectfully. Mr Hari Adhikari, Program Director, who led the coordination of the event, concluded the evening with a vote of thanks, highlighting the importance of continued community collaboration.
A raffle was also organised during the evening, generating $430 to support ongoing efforts. The first prize was sponsored by Kalikote Jewellers, the second prize by A-ONE Real Estate, and the third prize jointly sponsored by Nepal House Restaurant. The Galli Bites contributed $100. The dinner was generously sponsored by Bamboo Home Services, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
