Minister Bettison to Inagurate Shrimad Bhagawat Prabachan

In an attempt to raise funds to help children who lost at least one of their parents during the recent earthquakes in Nepal, the Punya Foundation is organising a 3-day Shrimad Bhagawat Puran in Adelaide Australia. Hon. Zoe Bettison, the Minister for Multicultural Affairs shall inaugurate the spiritual sermon at 11.30 AM on 3rd of July 2015. 

The day 1 program shall commence with Mr. L.B. Rai, Vice Chairman of the Bhutanese Australian Association of South Australia (BAASA) lighting a dip. Following this, the Prabachan organising committee shall escort Pandit Dinesh Adhikari to the sermon dias. Pandit Adhikari shall discourse on the essence of Shrimad Bhagawat and highlight on prime events of Mahabharata. Further, he shall introduce Saint Sukdev and King Parikshit; the main characters of the Shrimad Bhagawat. Pandit Adhikari shall complete his session with stories of various incarnations of lord Vishnu and his devotee Prahlad.

Pandit Ganga Ram Bhattarai shall continue with the second session of the first day. Pandit Bhattarai shall describe the story of first humans – Manu and Satarupa, conversation with mother about eternal human life of Kapildev. He shall end his sermon with the legend of Priyavrat and Uttanapad. 

The next day’s program shall begin with Puja and Aarati. This shall be followed by a sermon by an Indian philosopher. He shall highlight the role of spirituality and Hinduism in life of human beings. Acharya Khagendra Neopaney shall give continuity to the second session of Prabachan. He will summarise all the doing of lord Krishna; heroic childhood and demonstration of love and passion.

The final day’s program shall start with sermon of Pandit Santi Ram Dhakal. He will highlight how human body relates to veda and science and how vedas influence on human lives. He shall integrate Vedic and science version of senses like taste, smell, feeling, hearing, etc to day to day life. The 3-day Shrimad Bhagawat Prabachan shall end with Yagya, Hom, reciting of Vishnu Sahasranam, Kanakdhara stotram and chanting Vedic mantras for peace and prosperity of human kind.
